Privacy policy

This policy explains what happens to data when you use randomdrawinggenerator.online ("the site"). Short version: the site does not ask for your name, email or login, and everything you save in the tool stays in your own browser. The longer version is below because advertising and analytics do involve cookies.

1. Information the site does not collect

There is no sign-up, no account and no contact form on this site. The site does not ask for or store your name, email address, phone number, payment details or physical address. The only way you share personal information with us is if you choose to send an email, and then we only have what you put in that email.

2. Information stored in your browser

The generator uses your browser's local storage to remember things like your saved prompts, recent prompt history, chosen categories, difficulty setting, light or dark theme, alarm preference and a local count of prompts generated. This data:

  • is created on your device by the page itself,
  • is never transmitted to us or to any server,
  • cannot be read by us, and
  • is deleted whenever you clear your browser's site data, or by using the Clear buttons in the tool.

3. Log data

Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records standard server log information when a page is requested: IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring page, pages visited, and date and time. This is used for security, spam prevention and understanding traffic levels. Log data is not used to identify you personally and is retained only for a limited period by the host.

4. Cookies

A cookie is a small text file a site or its partners place on your device. This site itself does not set cookies for tracking purposes. However, third parties described below may set cookies when you visit.

You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. The generator will keep working normally; only ad personalisation and analytics are affected.

5. Google AdSense and third-party advertising

This site displays advertising, currently served through Google AdSense.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or optout.networkadvertising.org.
  • Google's own privacy practices are described in the Google Privacy & Terms.

Advertisers may also use web beacons or pixels. We do not control these technologies and do not receive personal information from them.

6. Analytics

We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool or Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage, such as how many people visit and which pages are popular. Where Google Analytics is used, IP anonymisation is enabled where available and no personally identifying information is collected. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

7. Children's privacy

The site is suitable for general audiences, including students, but it is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and it will be deleted. Where required, ad serving is configured to comply with child-directed treatment rules.

8. Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and similar)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California may request disclosure of data categories collected and may opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; note that we do not sell personal information.

Because we do not hold accounts or contact records, in most cases we simply hold no personal data about you. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and it will be removed. For requests relating to advertising data held by Google, use the Google links in section 5.

If you are in the EEA or UK, advertising partners collect consent through a Consent Management Platform where legally required, and you can change your choices at any time using the privacy or consent link shown in the ad banner.

9. External links

The blog and tool pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Read their policies before sharing information with them.

10. Data security

The site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but since we do not store user accounts or personal records, the risk to you from a breach of this site is very low.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the site changes, for example if a new analytics or ad partner is added. The "last updated" date at the top will change, and material changes will be noted on the homepage.

12. Contact

Privacy questions or requests: hello@randomdrawinggenerator.online with [LEGAL] in the subject line.
